I - Inventory Selection
Where and how do we get our inventory? Well, basically, you tell us what to buy; we specialize in high demand-low inventory units and purchase them from multiple resources. The first method is to buy our inventory physically at an auction- typically in Atlanta, Nashville or Birmingham. Sam goes and mulls through roughly 3,500 cars in two days time, only to come home with 4 or 5 diamonds in the rough. We would rather have a little too much in an immaculate vehicle as opposed to what most dealers typically stock- the other 3,496 units that did not meet our standards.
The second method is at an auction via the Internet here at our dealership. Although this is a much more convenient way to buy vehicles, it is still buying a unit sight unseen. To alleviate this problem, the auction attaches Condition Reports (CR) to each vehicle profile and lets us know what condition the vehicle is in; everything from mechanical and frame condition, to overall interior and exterior conditions, and of course we CarFax each vehicle before bidding. Upon successfully purchasing the unit online, we then order a post sale inspection (PSI) which re-inspects the vehicle for mechanical & structural integrity. Transportation costs roughly $150-$350, depending on where we buy it from. If we receive a unit that has problems that are not listed in the CR, then we contact the arbitration department at the respective auction. They then agree to either remedy the problem or buy the unit back.
Upon receipt of the unit, it goes directly to Michael, our Service Manager, and he conducts a vigorous Post Delivery Inspection (PDI). Again, mechanical & structural integrity, as well as brakes (pads & rotors), tires (pressure & tread life), oil (replaced) and all fluids topped off. Once the vehicle is deemed ready to sell, it goes to Roger & Nate in our detail department and they make our vehicles sparkle! Only after all these processes are complete can I photograph the unit.
The bottom line is this: WE BUY THE BEST VEHICLES WE CAN BECAUSE WE ONLY FEEL COMFORTABLE SELLING THE BEST!
